Hinges & Handles

Locks

Knights Glass can replace uPVC window locks and door locks, multipoint door locking mechanisms, uPVC Seals, Gaskets, window keeps and receivers. In fact we can replace all types of door and window furniture, available in many colours.

 

Security Upgrades

Don’t attempt to fit any extra locks without a good understanding of how your frames work. In many cases it is not possible to retro-fit any extra locks to uPVC windows.

There are locks that can be fitted but only if there is no integral locking system within the framework, usually where the only means of security is a locking handle.

There are two main types of locking systems, namely espagnolette (multi-point) locking, and deadlock shoot bolts Windows can also be fitted with high security friction hinges which locate into the frame on the hinge side.
